Klarna offers payment options for Shopify Payment users in the Netherlands and some other countries. With Klarna Now and Klarna Pay Later, your customers can choose to pay for their orders immediately, or at a later date by invoice.

Klarna Pay Now
Klarna Pay Now is a payment method option through Shopify Payments. Klarna Pay Now lets customers pay for their order using their online banking details. Klarna Pay Now connects with the customer’s bank account so that funds are immediately debited. If this is the first time they're using Klarna, then they'll be prompted to enter payment credentials for immediate authentication by Klarna. You receive the funds on your next Shopify Payments payout.
Klarna Pay Later
Klarna Pay Later is an invoicing payment method option through Shopify Payments. When a customer selects Klarna Pay Later as their payment method, they agree to pay for their purchase at a later date, usually a two week pay-back schedule. Klarna pays for the order immediately and the funds are included on your next Shopify Payments payout.
Your customer’s experience with Klarna Pay Later might vary depending on their location. Your customers have 14 days from the time of shipment to review and pay for the goods. If you have delayed delivery times, then you should highlight this in your shipping or store policy to inform your customers.
Bancontact
Bancontact is a payment method option through Shopify Payments. Bancontact connects with the customer’s bank account so that funds are immediately debited by scanning a QR code securely through the Bancontact app. The amount due is sent from their online bank to you on your next Shopify Payments payout.
Customer experience
Customers who select Bancontact as their payment method are taken to a second screen where they select their preferred bank card and confirm the transaction by entering their PIN code. Bancontact payments are authenticated by your customers and immediately confirmed to you. You receive the funds on your next Shopify Payments payout.
Customers who have the Bancontact app installed are directed to scan a QR code presented at the time of payment and confirm the transaction by entering their PIN code.
